Is Laser Hair Removal Worth It?
This question was recently posed to us - "What is your opinion about Laser Hair Removal and would you be hesitant about going to a place like "Ideal Image"? I had a consultation and was wanting to get my back chest and abdomen done. It is much pricier than I thought. Is it truly permanent?"
Laser hair removal is not always permanent and the effectiveness of laser hair removal depends on many factors. These factors include skin pigment, skin type and hair type (thickness & density). Laser often takes several sessions in order to remove all the hair folicles in the area.
Hair folicles cycle every three to six weeks. So, it may take several times before all the hair is removed in any given area. I have known some that have required 5-10 treatments to secure smoothness. This can become extremely pricey. We feel the word permanent is also often misused. For many, permanent may be 5-10 years and for some it is only a couple of years before you must repeat the process.

p.s. - Don't forget that using a hair growth inhibitor is a great way to get better results with any hair removal system. The product I personally use and recommend is Kalo.

Hey Chris - thanks for the tip on laser hair removal. I was going to try it on my chest, but decided to try the shaver you recommend and after reading this post, I'm glad I got the shaver instead. Definitely a heck of a lot cheaper! And it works really great. It's not messy and the finisher part really smooths out the skin. Thanks!
Dear Members of Forums!
I collected information in the internet that electrolytes method will for sure permanently remove unwanted hair.
Here is my experience.
I have south-europinian type of body(many dark hair everywhere). I tried electrolytes hair removal in so called "brasilian" aria for pure hygienic reason. Size of skin less then one of my palm threated twice– 13hours(cost A$1700). Result is miserable–after 2 weeks hair are growing again, although less, but it is necessary remove again. I had been consulted in the Technical College, and had been explained, that no absolutely method removing hair forever exist and only solution= permanent treatment:hair reduction growing with chemical products well known in supermarkets , then hot shower, or bath , or sauna ,or steam room, and then waxing. And make it periodically, as normal hygienic procedure. My experience of electolyte haire removal was very painful (32 needles) with sessions about 3 hours each, non-stop. I wish all of you well consider my experience.

Victor,
Thanks for you thoughts and sharing your experiences. It seems that using this EZ-HairRemoval shaving system that I've talked so much about would've saved you much pain and given you great results. You can find the link for it at the top of this page - if you want to check it out.

laser hair removal only reduces hair growth so it is not permanent…but it will take years for the hair to grow back after a treatment
